Christmas in February!

Our kids got a trip to Disneyland for Christmas, which didn't go over very well in December, but I guess it's the thought that counts!

One of the first rides we went on was It's a Small World and Tanner was not happy.  This was his face during the whole ride.

Tag loved it though!  He was clapping and waving at all the dancing children.  It was fun to ride with him!

Brinley woke up just as the ride was finishing but I think she would have liked it.  Whitley seemed to enjoy the singing!

We went to the beach one day.  It was nice until the wind started to blow and then it got a little chilly.

We had 9 kids from age 13 to 2.

My brother, Larry, and his family.

My brother, Steve, and his family.

We went to Goofy's kitchen for breakfast on Valentines Day!  It was good eats and we got to see a lot of the characters.

Our whole group with Goofy!  He was quite the host!
Jace and Ty and Brinley.  They were so cute with her!
My poor kids are freaks!  They were all upset that I wanted a picture of them with Jessie and the army guy.  I was like, "Please someone just take a picture so I can get them out of here" Pansies!
Tag finally smiled long enough for this pic but neither one of them were too sure about the fairies.  I thought Whitley would love them.  What do I know?

Tag loves Mater!  Trent said he was in awe actually getting to see him in person!
Ty and Whitley on the teacup ride.
It was a memorable trip for more reasons than one!  We finally got to use our timeshare that we've had since 2005, and the place was very nice.  We learned a lot and hopefully will do things better the next time we go!

Thanksgiving

The Lewis/White Clan
Tag getting some love from Tammy.

Kandie is sharing with Whitley.
Thanksgiving was nice this year, a little cold, but nice!  Trent had the whole week off work so we headed up north to be with my family.  I even did a little Black Friday shopping at 10 AM and still got most everything I was after.  That's pretty good if I do say so myself!
Tag getting some love from Val, he doesn't really care which sister he's kissing(:

Whirlwind Weekend: Halloween, Corn Maze and a Birthday!

The last time I tried to post this, something was going on with my computer so I am going to try it again(: Tanner decided he was going to be a Garden Gnome this year and with the help of his gradma, he was just that.  He got really annoyed at school when they didn'tn get it.  Tag was Woody, thanks Aunt Kate!(:

Brinley was Dorothy and Aunt Kandie did her hair so cute.  Whitley fit into that costume last year, can you believe it?   And, Whitley was Snow White and I am so mad I didn't get a close up of her because she was the cutest dang Snow White Ever!!!
Aunt Kandie and her family came down so we had a Woody, a Gnome, Dorothy, Buzz, Jessie, and Snow White for our annual halloween carnival at the school and then a trunk or treat right after.

Buzz and Woody checkin each other out(:

Riley wanted to go horse back riding for her birthday, hence their trip to our neck of the woods, and since Riley's birthday and Whitley's birthday's are back to back, we celebrated them together.  We started the day off horse back riding, well the mommas walked the horses and the kids rode.  Then, we were off to the corn maze.  We have lived down her for how long and we have never been to the corn maze.  I guess you could say I have a little bit of the Halloween humbug going on, but it turned out to be a lot of fun.

Brinley was trying to grab the corn stalks.
All the hudalums on the hay.
Check point

Tanner and Riley actually getting along!

AWWWW!

Tan and Brin on the tractors.

Kandie and Whit tearing it up on the dance floor.

Then we came home and ate pizza while we carved pumpkins.  Carving four pumpkins makes a big mess by the way.

Riley getting the guts out.

Then, it was birthday time!!! Kandie brought a huge cake that had Whitley's and Riley's name on it.  They each had one candle to blow out.

A purple tu-tu from grandpa and grandma Lewis.  She loved it!
Pretty princess shoes from Aunt Kandie that she wears to bed(:

A new dolly because Tag drew all over her other one and because he kept throwing it down the stairs, one of it's arms is missing(:

Grandma Reber made her a new pink dress.

New panties because even though she is potty trained accidents happen(;
We sure love our Whitley girl.  She is quite the character.  She has been healthy and she is so smart.  She talks like a grown up just about, she reminds me alot of Tanner at that age.  She has truly been a blessing.  Happy Birthday Whittle bugs!

And, oops, how did that get in there(:  Since Trent has been working outdoors this past year, he has lost a little weight and he went down a pant size.  Me likey(:

My sweet baby girl!
Whitley is three years old today and it is so hard to believe.  She was the sweetest thing, after we got her over her reflux.  She was so chubby and so good and cute.  And now she acts like she is 13.  She has this reoccuring dream of either her riding the cows or the mean cow in her room.  I'm not sure what to think about it.  She loves to tell stories and her vocabulary is quite entertaining.  She called Tanner a terdlet the other day.  It was hilarious!
She was so dang cute!

This is what I am up against now!
She is definetly a girly girl that loves her nails painted and her lipgloss, or my lipgloss, on.  She is very opionated and I have no idea where she gets that(:  She is potty trained so that's a plus.  If I can just get her to sleep in her own bed, she'll be doing good.  We do love her.  She truly has been a blessing.  She's healthy and beautiful.  I can't ask for much more than that!

We are going to celebrate her birthday officially next weekend when Aunt Kandie comes down.  Kandie's bringing the cake. We'll provide the horses(;

Family home evening

The beautiful St. George Temple
So, I have been trying to make family home evening a little more memorable, a little more creative, a little more fun.  I got some really great ideas from the Ensign last month and so last Monday, we just looked at some pictures of different Temples and talked about what goes on inside.  This Monday we actually went to the Temple.  In my head, I am picturing our cute little family holding hands and quietly walking around the Temple grounds, admiring the beauty of that magnificent edifice, the picture of a perfect LDS family who has taught their children the importance of such places and that we need to use our quiet voices.  Well, to my complete and utter dismay, the Temple stairs became a race to the top with screaming and even some pushing from Tag, and as I am trying to get a decent picture of my four little angels, it is time to descend.  So not the cute family photo op I was hopoing for.  I was frantically trying to get them all in the same frame.  It was a nightmare.  I am looking at Trent and he is looking at me like why are we doing this?  We thought maybe going into the visitor's center might be more entertaining for them, maybe a movie would calm them down, oh, but no, that was not the answer either.  There was a display of all these Books of Mormon in different languages.  Tag was rearranging them and putting them in piles.  And, then I was trying to show Whitley a picture of a couple getting married.  "See, she has on her white dress", I said, and then she starts whining, "Where's my white dress, I can't see the picture."

I hope that when my kids are older and I have no more brain cells left, that they will remember these times that I actually did try and teach them the gospel.  I love my kids, honest I do(:  I feel so very lucky to be their mother and I know they will remember, no matter how crazy they make me in the process.
We did try and touch the Temple but Brinley is looking down that pipe in the background and Tag and Whitley are behind that tree to the right.
The Temple upon our leaving is breathing a sigh of relief.
The whole fam damily minus Tanner who had more important things to do.

Our annual pilgrimage to Kolob Mountain for the Jensen Reunion.  It was nice up there this year.  No rain, not too cold at night and not at all hot during the day, just how I like it.  I didn't take many pictures, don't  know why really.  We got up there a day late because Trent had to work on Saturday, but we did get to stay until Monday.  I tried to pack two pair of shoes for all of my kids.  It was a good idea because once we got there I found out Whitley's tennis shoes were too small and so were Brinley's.  So Whitley wore Tag's shoes and then Brinley just wore her sandals with socks.  They are just growing too fast.  Whitley got to shoot the BB gun for the first time with some help from dad.  She said the guns were loud, she is such a girl.  I got to shoot, too and I must say that I am pretty good.  It must have been my puple sweatshirt, plaid pink bottoms combo that made me so lucky(:  Brinley was having fun making new friends with Whitney.  It was fun seeing all the newlywedded cousins with their new little families.  The Jensen family is growing.  In 10 years or so, we might even compete with the Bundy reunion(:  Fun times!
